Sprinkles Cupcakes is gearing up for the Oscars with their snazzy "Red Carpet Cupcakes" (a whimsical variation of their popular Red Velvet variety of cupcake.)These cupcakes are decked out with a shiny gold star- and their box comes sealed with a special walk of fame star sticker in place of the traditional brown one. Available for three days only, according to the Sprinkles cupcake calendar.
A clever marketing ploy? Of course. But you've gotta love anyone who puts the Oscars on their calendar as a holiday worth celebrating right up there with Easter, St. Patrick's Day, and Christmas :-) And they sure are tasty, no matter the occasion.
