So- for quite some time my family and friends have teased me about my affinity for hyperbole. On a weekly, if not daily basis, they would call me out for enthusiastically dubbing something as the "Best. Thing. EVER." A bit over the top? Perhaps. But why not?
My goal with this blog is to embrace the enthusiasm... compile all these "Best. Things. EVER" into a stockpile of 365 daily doses of "happy."
Hopefully what you find here will make you smile, chuckle- or at least make you scratch your head if nothing else.
So- coming up first... the most recent "Best. Thing. EVER." which inspired the launch of this blog: The Turner Classic Movies Robert Osborne Bobblehead Doll.
What makes this the Best. Thing. EVER you ask? The mere existence of this Bobblehead, and the thought that there are enough classic cinephiles in the world who know who Robert Osborne is, for starters. The sheer randomness of it, for seconds.
Have I purchased a Robert Osborne bobblehead of my very own? Not yet- but I'm thinking it's only a matter of time. I'd be proud to have this guy adorning my desk- and I'd be proud to be in the company of anyone who could recognize him!
